Brussels, April 2018. The Red Dot Jury made its decision: after individually testing and evaluating all the products presented in a multi-day process, the Ahooga Hybrid Bike, designed and produced by Ahooga, based in Brussels, Belgium, received the “Red Dot” award. The jury of experts awards the internationally recognized quality label only to products that appeal to them because of their high quality of design.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design goes back to 1955 and determines the best products created each year. In 2018, designers and manufacturers from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 products to the competition. True to the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, a jury of about 40 members evaluated the products individually. Strict evaluation criteria, which include the level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and sustainability, provide a frame of reference for the jury they can then complete with their own expertise.
